Waterfront

Wente’s private 80-acre, warm-water lake is perfect for fishin', swimming, and boating. Your Scouts are guaranteed to have a good time.

Swim Instruction - Scouts who need that extra help to become better swimmers can get it from 7:00-8:00 in the evening.

Snorkeling, BSA - Treasure and aquatic wildlife lay at the bottom of our lake. The Waterfront Staff will announce the times at camp. Must have passed the BSA Swimmer’s Test to participate.

Mile Swim, BSA - Scouts need to be in good physical shape to live up to the rigorous requirements of this activity. Before swimming the mile, all participants must swim the quarter and half mile. Each swimmer must bring a rower and spotter to accompany them.

Wente Wooly Wash - Early in the morning, when the fog rises off the lake, the Wooly will, at times, come down to the lake for a dip. Come on down for this morning swim, and you may even see the elusive beast. Attend every morning and become a member of the eXtreme Wente Wooly Club.
